Welcome to Ed Tech for Teachers! I created this blog as a way to discuss the latest tech news in education and tips and tricks for teachers. I have been a teacher for 20 years and I have loved teaching in the lower elementary grades at a private Catholic school. Certified Technology Education Leader Credits As part of my educational specialist degree, I had to work toward completing the requirements for the Certified Education Technology Leader. According to their website, “The CETL® program is the only practice-based certification program available to education technology leaders that bridges technical knowledge, understanding of the educational environment, leadership and vision, and the management of technology and support resources needed to integrate technology across the curriculum to advance student outcomes.” (CoSN, 2026). This program is designed for teacher leaders to advance their knowledge in skills in leadership and technology. Part of the program requires at least 35 field experience items throughout the course. Each field experience item needs to fall under three categories, either as an observer, participant, or leader.
